Michel Antoine, from a family of antique dealers, specializes in 1983 in antique carpets and textiles.

He opened his store in Ixelles where he exhibited treasures of oriental rugs made in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Very quickly he was assisted by his future wife who was training in England to become a restorer.
